This is the order that I’ve always done mine in also. I prefer the coconut under the chips and nut as well. It almost seems to get dried out on top when I have tried other versions.

In reply to Carole. I'm circling back as I just baked a batch today to re-measure how many sprinkles are needed to fully coat the cookies. And I do owe you an apology. I ended up needing 1 cup + 1/2 Tbsp of sprinkles. I will update the post to call for 1 and 1/4 cup sprinkles just to make sure that everyone has more than enough sprinkles in the future.

this recipe is so easy to make and so delicious!! the cookies are soft which I love!! I didn’t roll mine in powdered suffered bit did sprinkle it on the top! can’t wait to try it with other flavored cake mixes!!

In reply to Carole. I will re-measure the amount of sprinkles I use making these cookies this week so make sure the recipe is as accurate as possible. It is possible that you cold need a bit more, depending on the size of your cookies and your sprinkles. But I wouldn't think you would need more than an extra quarter cup or half cup possibly. How much sprinkles did you end up using?
