I have made this recipe several times and can assure you that nothing is missing from the recipe. It sounds like there may have been an issue with your ingredients and/or measurements. Did you use an entire 9 ounce box of Rice Krispies cereal? Did you use 30 ounces of mini marshmallows, reserving 4 cups to mix in at the end as directed (and not melting them all in the pot)? Also, did you use real butter and not margarine or “spreadable” butter? All of these could be possible causes of the ratio of marshmallow sauce to cereal/marshmallows being off.
